Chiara Manoli

(President / Regulatory Affairs Manager at Ilsa S.p.A)

Chiara Manoli is Regulatory Affairs Manager at Ilsa Spa (Italy), where she has been employed since 2012. She is responsible for product registration and organic certification. Her work has increasingly focused on regulatory affairs, and she has worked extensively within ECOFI on the European Fertilising Products Regulation and has been a representative of ECOFI at the Commission Expert Group on Fertilising Products meetings since March 2014. Previously, she collaborated with ILSA on a project to develop new enhanced efficiency organo-mineral fertilisers, which developed her skills in evaluating new fertiliser prototypes, in particular laboratory tests regarding the fate and behaviour of nitrogen in controlled environments. In 2010, she obtained a master’s degree in Agricultural Science and Technology at the University of Padova (Italy). Ms. Manoli has extensive experience on the ECOFI board and after being reelected in December 2023 will continue on in her role as ECOFI President for two more years. Before being elected President, Ms. Manoli served as Vice-President of ECOFI from December 2018 – December 2021.

Aude Brion

(Regulatory Affairs Manager at Angibaud)

Aude Brion is Regulatory Affairs Manager at Angibaud, a French producer of organic and organo-mineral fertilisers. Her work involves monitoring regulatory developments at the national level in France and at the EU level, particularly on issues relating to regulatory compliance of organic-based fertilisers. Ensuring effective agronomic valorization of organic materials is one of her priorities. She previously worked for the feed industry and she has a background in agricultural sciences, biology and human nutrition. She is looking forward to working with the other members of the board and ECOFI’s members to improve the current regulatory framework around animal by-products and insect frass in organic-based fertilisers. Ms. Brion was elected in December 2023 and will continue on the board for two years.

Marion Martinez

(Senior Vice President for South Europe, Yara International)

Marion Martinez, Senior Vice President for South Europe, Yara International, brings 20 years of experience in international agriculture sector and 15 years at Yara to the Board. She holds a B.Sc and M.Sc in Agriculture, Environmental and Food Sciences from ISARA Lyon. Her previous positions include co-chair at the European Chamber of Commerce for the Food and Agri Business Sector working on agrifood challenges and in Vietnam. Ms Martinez also developed crop nutrition programs in Africa in collaboration with the local research institutes and was involved in the development of public private partnerships. She is currently focusing on developing Yara’s strategy on organic, biostimulants and food chain segments, and ECOFI is excited to welcome her and her extensive experience in advocacy and marketing to the ECOFI Board, to complement our regulatory expertise. Ms. Martinez was elected to the ECOFI Board on 1 December 2022 and will serve for two years.

Quentin Protsenko

(Regulatory manager at FRAYSSINET)

Quentin Protsenko has been working since 2016 as a regulatory manager at FRAYSSINET, a French producer of organic and organo-mineral fertiliser, soil improvers and biostimulants. He is responsible for product registration and export development and is also actively involved in French and European standardisation of fertilising products. FRAYSSINET products combine tradition, research and technology to meet the expectations of tomorrow’s agriculture: quality, safety and sustainability in respect of circular economy principles. Previously he was the technical and regulatory affairs manager at UPJ, the French sector association of plant care products for gardeners and green spaces. He provided support to companies and helped promote a fair transition to more sustainable and healthier products following the ban on chemical plant protection products in this sector. He also managed the development of a website and phone app called « La clinique des plantes » to help amateur gardeners deal with their plant diseases. In 2012, he obtained a master’s degree in Plant Technology and Specialty Crops at the University of Angers (France). Mr. Protsenko was President of ECOFI from December 2018 to December 2021, and has remained on the board since. He has been attending the European Commission Expert Group on Fertilising Products meetings as an ECOFI representative since January 2019. Mr Protsenko was reelected in December 2023 and will serve for two more years.

Nicolas Willaume

(Global Advocacy Manager at ICL Group - Growing Solutions)

Nicolas Willaume is the Global Advocacy Manager at ICL Group - Growing Solutions since 2021. He brings strong market experience, expertise in regulatory and public affairs and a deep knowledge of plant nutrition and agronomic practices. He previously served as a board member of different EU and national associations. He holds a master’s degree in Biosciences and Agronomy from the French Ecole Nationale Supérieure Agronomique de Toulouse. Mr Willaume was elected as a board member in December 2023 and looks forward to promoting ECOFI and helping move the consortium forward.
